HKU Team Participates in NSSFC Project Kick-off Meeting at Tsinghua University

On 18 January 2026, the kick-off meeting for the NSSFC Major Program “Research on Coordination Mechanisms for the Conservation and Revitalization of Urban Cultural Heritage” was successfully held at Tsinghua University.
The meeting was chaired by Prof A. Dang (Tsinghua University), who served as the Chief Expert of the project and delivered an overview of the research objectives and plan. After that, Prof T. Yang (Tsinghua University), Prof Y. Li (Xiamen University), Prof H. Liu (Southwest Jiaotong University), Prof F. Xue on behalf of Prof Anthony G. O. Yeh (The University of Hong Kong), Prof T. Zou, and Prof Z. Zhang (Beijing International Studies University) respectively presented the four sub-projects’ significance and plan.
The project team also invited experts from the Central Party School, Sun Yat-sen University, Peking University, the China Academy of Cultural Heritage, Tsinghua University, the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau, and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources to provide professional comments and constructive suggestions on the research design and methodology.
Representing Professor Anthony G. O. Yeh, Professor Fan Xue led four PhD Students including Xi Wei, Jinfeng Xie, Shuaichen Yan, and Yueshan Li to participate in the meeting in Beijing.
